For the MTB rider, Hobart has a huge and diverse range of riding experiences, all less than 20 minutes from Hobart's CBD. It's famous North - South Track is a ripper, as described in Flow Mountain Bike, but there are heaps more trails than this in Southern Tasmania. One thing they do have in common are hills. Yep, great descents require climbing, although some trails have the ability to be shuttled. If travelling between November and March, please remember that Tassie has long a twilight. The sun is up by 5.30 am and does not go down until 9.30 pm. This makes it great for getting in heaps of riding in the island state. Driving Travel Times, without stopping
